Sounders snap club-record losing streak in draw with Cincinnati
CINCINNATI -- Kalani Kossa-Rienzi scored late in the second half and the Seattle Sounders snapped a club-record eight-match losing streak in league play by earning a 1-1 draw with FC Cincinnati on Saturday night. Kossa-Rienzi took a pass from Albert Rusnak in the 83rd minute and scored for the third time this season to tie it 1-all. Rusnak subbed in to the match in the 77th minute before collecting his sixth assist. Evander Da Silva Ferreira scored his 13th goal - as Cincinnati peppered Seattle keeper Andrew Thomas with four shots in the 24th minute - to give Cincinnati a 1-0 lead. Evander also has 11 assists and leads the league in goal contributions. Thomas matched his career high with seven saves - six of them coming in the first half for Seattle (7-9-4). Roman Celentano stopped two shots for Cincinnati (8-6-7). The Sounders are still looking for their first victory since beating the visiting San Jose Earthquakes 3-2 on May 13.
